VIC's Air Leak Testing (ALT) and
Industrial Leak Detection (ILD) divisions team up to create a
system to test the hoses that connect helium-tested A/C
components
A manufacturer of air conditioning
systems asked the ILD division to build an efficient system to
leak-test condensers, evaporators, and compressors in which
these components are first charged with helium, then tested in
a vacuum chamber.
Problem –
These components are interconnected with a wide variety of hose
assemblies that would require an overly complex helium
leak-testing process.
Solution –
ILD and ALT divisions work closely together to develop
efficient workbench configurations to meet the testing
requirements. The workbench supports typical products like the
MD-490S helium sniffer, MF-2100 air leak tester, and standard
gas charging configurations that work in conjunction with a
flexible table assembly that facilitates quick change-over and
adjustable fitting arrangements.
