Anaheim, CA—Feb. 9-11, V.I.C. exhibits at MD&M West held at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA. with their western regional rep. Applied Vacuum Technology.
The show booth staff included Clyde Madson, President of AVTEC, David Anderson, Regional Sales Manager of AVTEC and Bill Hathaway, Sales Manager from V.I.C.'s Air Leak Test Headquarters, Dayton, OH.
Pictured, Bill Hathaway demostrates the Multi-Lumen Catheter Tester Leak Test System (MLC), which provides an efficient and convenient way to validate up to 4 multi-lumen catheters simultaneously.  Also featured was the new high performance, high sensitivity
MS-60 portable helium leak detector—fully automatic, easy to use, and highly accurate—this advanced design leak detector is ideal for a broad range of applications—from medical to food and beverage packaging.
Portable Helium Leak Detectors Sport New Touch-Panel GUI Display

TSand60_.JPGVacuum Instrument Corp. introduces a new series of helium mass spectrometer leak detectors with Touch-Screen GUIs for testing the integrity of vacuum systems, and parts using helium leak detection techniques.
The Touch-Screen GUI allows for greater system control and monitoring during system start-up and operation.  More Details

New -- Service & Rental Plan

MS40-test.JPGVacuum Instrument Corp. announces new services and rental plan. V.I.C. will be offering a variety of leak-testing services for helium/air leak detection requirements, as well as new support programs.  More Details

Special Announcement from WHL: Whitehouse Package Integrity Testing Lab featured in a presentation at the Parenteral Drug Association annual meeting, March 16, 2010
"The package integrity testing services offered at Whitehouse Labs are unique and state of the art.  In conjunction with our partners Vacuum Instrument Corporation, we are able to offer a suite of high-end leak detection and package seal quality testing in a strict GMP environment.

We will continue to enhance and expand our service offering so that we may assist our clients with meeting regulatory requirements and improving package and product systems."

VIC-TORR TM          NEW!
Mass Flow, Pressure/Vacuum Decay System

4Web.JPGVIC-Torr is a high resolution test instrument that can be configured as a Mass Flow, Pressure Decay or Vacuum Decay leak tester and is available in single or multi-channel versions.  The robust color LCD touch screen makes it easy for the operator to determine if a test product is pass/fail.  The product has provisions for Ethernet, USB and RS-232 communications capability for downloadable selection and to upload data.  Other features include automatic set up, a multi-language display and user friendly programming and diagnostics.  More on the product.

V.I.C. to Distribute Hydrogen Leak Tester

Vacuum Instrument Corp. a world-leading manufacturer in the leak detection industry, today announced its plan to distribute a new series of Hydrogen gas leak detectors.
Hydrogen Sniffer.JPG
"The portable battery- operated Hydrogen sniffer leak detector is an excellent complement to our leak detection product line," said Chuck Wilkinson, Corp. Director of Marketing.  "Its unique capabilities rounds-out our product offerings and ensures one-stop shopping for all our customers' leak detection equipment requirements." More on the product.

For those companies looking for a test method that is not operator-dependent, V.I.C. offers a cumulative leak detection system based on the Hydrogen sensor instrumentation.  This technique features the following benefits:
-Uses a safe 5% hydrogen gas mixture
-Product/Fixture outgassing is not a concern
-Can test wet parts/not effected by humidity

-Leaking pneumatic components will not effect test
-Ideally suited for “lean cell” manufacturing
-Tests the cumulative leak rate at a lower cost than Helium hard vac
-Minimal maintenance required:
       -
No chamber evacuation vacuum pumps
       -
No evacuation valves and manifolding
       -
Chamber/valves operate at no pressure differential
       -
Minimal system leak integrity issues
       -
No pump oils to change
       -
No vacuum cleanliness requirements
-Lower operating cost/utility consumption
-Quiet, test is done at atm without the need for large vacuum pumps

V.I.C.’s Helium Recovery Systems Combat Global Helium Shortages

HRS.JPG“Helium prices are expected to spike by 10-15 percent,” according to Chuck Wilkinson, Corp. Director of Marketing for Vacuum Instrument Corporation, world’s largest independent manufacturer of leak detection equipment and leak-test systems, “but industrial users may be even more concerned about spot shortages that can delay their own production lines.  This is a good time,” he added, “for industrial helium-users to look carefully at the cost/benefit ratio of employing helium reclaim.  V.I.C.’s Helium Recovery product line features a group of high efficiency gas recycling systems that significantly reduce operating costs associated with Helium leak testing.  “Our wide choice of standard models and custom manufactured products provides the flexibility to quickly meet varying capacity requirements while reducing tracer gas operating costs.” More Details

Recalibration Services for CGLs / V.I.C. Offers a Variety of Calibrated Gas Leaks

CGLs.jpgWe offer a full recalibration service for calibrated gas leaks manufactured by V.I.C. and other leak standard suppliers from our new state-of-the-art calibration laboratory located in our New York headquarters.  Services include recalibrating and recharging with replacement of the precision element if breakage or clogging occurs, along with full N.I.S.T. recertification.  Certificates of N.I.S.T. traceability are provided with each leak standard documenting the accuracy, and calibration parameters.  This information is perfect for those companies with ISO quality systems procedures.
