V.I.C. 'Charged Up’ About Automotive Lithium-Ion
Li-Ion batteries have the greatest charge capacity over competing battery technologies, thus the demand to incorporate them into today's extended range electric cars.
V.I.C. is happy to announce that it has been awarded a contract to provide a High Speed Fully Automatic Helium Leak Test System to test the hermeticity of Li-Ion Batteries used in hybrid vehicle applications. V.I.C. will continue to provide automotive lithium-ion battery manufacturers leak test equipment that will be the solution to their unique testing specifications. More Applications
Centre des Congres, Metz, France Making its debut at SVTM was V.I.C.’s new Hydrogen Sniffer with rechargeable battery that enables leak testing independent of a power supply system and connection cable. Leaks can be located in component parts even in very small spaces. More Vacuum Equipment and Technology 2010 Scientific and Technical Conference St. Petersburg, June 15-17, 2010 Russian Vacuum Society and INTECH performing Scientific-Technical Conference Vacuum Equipment and Technology 2010 The conference submitted reports on the physics of vacuum and the calculation of vacuum systems, vacuum and leakage test, producing a vacuum and the elements of vacuum systems, vacuum technological processes and equipment. Chuck Wilkinson, Corporate Marketing Director for V.I.C. presented on helium leak detection systems and the features and benefits of their own dual sector 180 degree mass spectrometer. This year the audience consisted of Senior Engineers from space companies, accelerators, nuclear researches and others.

Vacuum Instrument Corp. announces new services and rental plan. V.I.C. will be offering a variety of leak-testing services for helium/air leak detection requirements, as well as new support programs. More Details
VIC-TORR TM NEW! Mass Flow, Pressure/Vacuum Decay System V.I.C. to Distribute Hydrogen Leak Tester Vacuum Instrument Corp. a world-leading manufacturer in the leak detection industry, today announced its plan to distribute a new series of Hydrogen gas leak detectors. For those companies looking for a test method that is not operator-dependent, V.I.C. offers a cumulative leak detection system based on the Hydrogen sensor instrumentation. This technique features the following benefits: -Uses a safe 5% hydrogen gas mixture -Product/Fixture outgassing is not a concern -Can test wet parts/not effected by humidity -Leaking pneumatic components will not effect test -Ideally suited for “lean cell” manufacturing -Tests the cumulative leak rate at a lower cost than Helium hard vac -Minimal maintenance required: -No chamber evacuation vacuum pumps -No evacuation valves and manifolding -Chamber/valves operate at no pressure differential -Minimal system leak integrity issues -No pump oils to change -No vacuum cleanliness requirements -Lower operating cost/utility consumption -Quiet, test is done at atm without the need for large vacuum pumps V.I.C.’s Helium Recovery Systems Combat Global Helium Shortages
We offer a full recalibration service for calibrated gas leaks manufactured by V.I.C. and other leak standard suppliers from our new state-of-the-art calibration laboratory located in our New York headquarters. Services include recalibrating and recharging with replacement of the precision element if breakage or clogging occurs, along with full N.I.S.T. recertification. Certificates of N.I.S.T. traceability are provided with each leak standard documenting the accuracy, and calibration parameters. This information is perfect for those companies with ISO quality systems procedures. More Details |
