V.I.C. Exhibits at Assembly Technology Expo 2008
National Manufacturing Week, Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL. Featured products for V.I.C. last September at Assembly Techincluded the Multi-Lumen Catheter Leak Tester from the Air Leak Division and the MD-490S/SmartChargeIII combo from the Industrial Leak Division.
The Multi-lumen Catheter Leak Test System (below left) provides an efficient and convenient way to validate up to 4 multi-lumen catheters simultaneously. It uses dry air, or any gas, to automatically perform three tests on each lumen for: -external leakage -inter-lumen leakage -flow test for occlusions. More Details
The "Real Sniffer" MD-490S (below right) is the most advanced Helium sniffing leak detector designed specifically for industrial environments. The Real Sniffer utilizes V.I.C.'s own industrial-grade helium mass spectrometer to achieve the highest sensitivity, fastest response-time, and smallest footprint. More Details
Two New Products Introduced at AVS-55 Exhibition
V.I.C.’s New MS-50 UFT (right) was an instant hit at AVS-55 last October, held at Boston's Hynes Convention Center. The product generated interest among small device manufacturers who have the need for ultra-fast precise, quantitative leak measurements of hermetically sealed devices down to 3.0 x 10-12 and a flush-mount test cup. More Details
Also making its debut at AVS was V.I.C.’s New MS-60 (left) portable helium leak detector — fully automatic, easy to use, and highly accurate. This advanced design leak detector is ideal for a broad range of applications including clean, oil-free testing.

V.I.C. Showcases New Product Last October at Automotive Testing Expo N.A. 2008
Pictured here at ATE are Chuck Wilkinson, Corporate Marketing Director and Bill Hathaway, Sales Manager of the Air Leak Testing Division. Mr. Wilkinson shows off the new backfill and evacuation station -- SmartChargeIII and helium leak test sniffer the MD-490S. The Smart ChargeIII is a fully automatic, custom-configurable evacuation and gas backfill system with built-in gross-leak test used to pre-charge products under test with gas for leak detection or for any gas charging application that requires evacuation and subsequent pressurization of the test product. The SmartChargeIII can be readily integrated with V.I.C.’s MD-490S “Real Sniffer” portable dry industrial helium leak detector for tracer gas charging of products prior to fine leak testing. Gas recovery and mixing options are also offered by V.I.C. to create a completely integrated gas handling and test system. More Details
New -- Portable Dual Magnetic Sector Mass Spectrometer Helium Leak Detectors
Ronkonkoma, N.Y., December 1 — Vacuum Instrument Corp., a world leader in the leak detection industry, today introduced a new series of helium mass spectrometer leak detectors for testing the integrity of systems, containers and parts by using helium as a tracer gas. The new MS-60 is available with a standard 7 cfm or a 10.6 cfm rotary vane foreline/roughing pump for faster cycle times. More Details

V.I.C.’s Helium Recovery Systems Combat Global Helium Shortages
“Helium prices are expected to spike by 10-15 percent,” according to Chuck Wilkinson, Corp. Director of Marketing for Vacuum Instrument Corporation, world’s largest independent manufacturer of leak detection equipment and leak-test systems, “but industrial users may be even more concerned about spot shortages that can delay their own production lines. This is a good time,” he added, “for industrial helium-users to look carefully at the cost/benefit ratio of employing helium reclaim. V.I.C.’s Helium Recovery product line features a group of high efficiency gas recycling systems that significantly reduce operating costs associated with Helium leak testing. “Our wide choice of standard models and custom manufactured products provides the flexibility to quickly meet varying capacity requirements while reducing tracer gas operating costs.” More Details
Recalibration Services for CGLs / V.I.C. Offers a Variety of Calibrated Gas Leaks
We offer a full recalibration service for calibrated gas leaks manufactured by V.I.C. and other leak standard suppliers from our new state-of-the-art calibration laboratory located in our New York headquarters. Services include recalibrating and recharging with replacement of the precision element if breakage or clogging occurs, along with full N.I.S.T. recertification. Certificates of N.I.S.T. traceability are provided with each leak standard documenting the accuracy, and calibration parameters. This information is perfect for those companies with ISO quality systems procedures. More Details
